This book comprises six parts. The first part consists of Mir-Seyyed-Ali Jenabs book Al-Esfahan, first printed in 1303 HS, and the second includes a special description of Esfahan from the Chevalier Jean Chardins travel account, translated by Mir-Seyyed-Ali Jenab and printed in the same year. Parts three to six comprise reproductions of the atlas of Chardins visit of Esfahan from the book of Flandin and Coste (1851), images of historic monuments by Pascal Coste (1867) and photographs of historic monuments in Esfahan from Charles Texiers Description of Armenia and Mesopotamia (1842), and is complemented with explanatory notes by the author, who was the director of the National Museum of Iran. Al-Esfahan undoubtedly constitutes one of the valuable references and sources published by the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization.
